As I watched,
Tears in my eyes
I am on my knees
As my Saviour dies

 I know that,
As sad as it may seem
It is for the best
My soul He cleans

His Sacred Heart
Beats no more
As I think of Him
My own heart is sore

As they pierce
Him in the side
My soul is swept
Away in the tide

Of love and compassion
Of forgiveness and joy
I try to understand it all,
But I am just a boy
